Objectives
The CARBOWAVE Project has a clear vision to revolutionize the carbon manifesting industry. Its scientific objectives listed below are strategically designed to achieve this goal.
To develop innovative tunable high temperature dielectric susceptor coatings with a DLT above 0.9 to induce efficient and focused heat generation by microwave technologies
To develop an efficient and focused plasma heating system and reduce the target temperature of the continuous oxidative stabilisation of CF production
To develop a novel microwave cavity suitable for continuous carbonisation/graphitisation of stabilized CF
To develop improved designs to upscale production processes of alternatively stabilized and carbonized fibres
To demonstrate the recycling potential of the CFRP using microwave-based decomposition
